Day 14 of 30 – Flying Kites With Dad

Flying Kites With Dad

“Flying Kites With Dad”

12″ x 16″

Oil on Canvas

Day 14 of the 30 Paintings in 30 Days Challenge with Leslie Saeta.

My Dad used to love making kites and flying them.

We would often fly them down on the foreshore at Fisho’s beach in Torquay.

His favourite were the fighting kites … one year he made this huge kite which was quickly dubbed ‘Big Bird’.

I will never forget the time he was lifted off the ground a meter or so from flying ‘Big Bird’

Love this one too Rod. Enjoying the subjects of your paintings very much. Not sure how you’re managing through this extreme heatwave. Keep up the great work.
